Sute de ore de antrenament pentru patrupezii Clubului Câinilor Utilitari din București
Una dintre principalele activități ale Clubului Câinilor Utilitari din București este cea de Căutare și Salvare. După sute de ore de antrenament, câinii implicați în program sunt atestați să participe la misiuni de salvare alături de echipele din cadrul Departamentului pentru Situații de Urgență. Pregătirea pentru performanță a câinilor din Club se realizează prin antrenamentele de specialitate, dar şi prin alimentaţie, asigurându-se patrupezilor salvatori echilibrul nutrițional, cu tot necesarul de vitamine și minerale. Parte din antrenamentul câinilor de salvare sunt și simulările pe teren ce presupun expunerea cățeilor la situații cât mai aproape de realitate.
Pentru ca programul de dresaj să aibă efectele dorite, câinele trebuie să fie sănătos și în cea mai bună formă, astfel încât să reziste și să reacționeze corect la orele de antrenament.
„Dresorii Clubului Câinilor Utilitari antrenează câini pentru intervenții reale alături de forțele statului în situații de dezastru. Pentru asta se antrenează săptămânal: de trei ori pe săptămână pentru partea tehnică și de cel puțin două ori pentru partea fizică. Vorbim probabil de 6-8 ore de muncă efectivă cu fiecare câine. Încercăm să educăm acești căței în mod gradual pentru a suporta acest gen de efort, atât fizic, cât și psihic, pentru a ajunge în punctul în care să atingem performanțele dorite. Tragem tare pentru că știm că au resursele necesare!”, a explicat Vlad Popescu, dresor profesionist și co-fondator al Clubul Câinilor Utilitari.
